This week was a very disappointing week for me. I had a plenty of time
to do my cakes before the break ends, but the weather lately is just too humid
for my fondant to harden and to work with. The rainy weather creates humidity
around the fondant, making the fondant very damp and wet.
COMMUNICATION
WITH SUPERVISOR
This week, I sent Mr. Pat my second decorated cake, the wedding cake.
I asked for his opinion and he said that the cake was amazing.
INFORMATION
This week, I transferred
my cakes to my dad’s office, and upon the rainy weather, the fondant stays dry.
And so, I will put my cakes in my dad’s office when they are done. This week, I
also painted the base cardboard for each cakes, relating to the theme. I also
made the little explanation cards of each cake, in which I will put in fornt of
the display of the cake later in the exhibition. As mentioned before, due to
the humidity, I cannot do my cakes. However, I managed to make the pearls and
keep it covered in a container so that I don’t have to do it again later. I
will most likely finish my fairytale Cinderella cake next week.
